Duke Ortho Celebrates National Medical Service Professionals Week

Share

This week, we celebrate the outstanding medical services professionals who track and monitor the verification and credentialing of our healthcare team in the Duke Orthopaedic Surgery Department.

In 1992, President George Bush signed Congressional House Joint Resolution #399, proclaiming the first full week in November as National Medical Staff Services Awareness Week. The goal is to shine a light on those critical members of our team who work behind the scenes to verify the credentials of healthcare practitioners. They have expertise in medical staff organization, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and provider relationships.

We truly appreciate the critical work to ensure that all patients receive care from a clinical team that is properly educated, licensed, and trained in their specialty.

Thank you for everything you do to keep Duke Orthopaedics patients safe and our practitioners verified and credentialed.
