Celebrating National Orthopaedic Technician Day

Today is National Orthopaedic Technician Day –a time to recognize the outstanding professionals who are the backbone of our practice. We are thankful for our orthopaedic technicians who provide our patients with excellent, compassionate, and thoughtful daily care. Our technicians are critical in patient care, often caring for the most vulnerable people (think about a child getting a cast removed).

The day is recognized on August 24, as this is the birthday of Nicolas Andry de Bois-Regard, a French physician born in 1658. Nicolas Andry is recognized as the father of Orthopaedics, coining the term. His book “L’orthopedie” presented simple and realistic methods of preventing and treating deformities in children.

Please join me in recognizing and thanking our exceptional technologists!
