Sports Medicine Research
At Duke Sports Medicine, our team is committed to advancing the understanding of injury mechanisms and prevention strategies to enhance patient care directly. All research within our division adheres to the highest ethical standards, is IRB-approved, and is closely regulated.
Our research encompasses a wide range of areas, including knee injuries (such as ACL, MPFL, osteochondral treatment, and meniscal repair), shoulder conditions (including anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement, rotator cuff injuries, and instability), hip disorders (such as FAI and labral injuries), concussion management, orthobiologics (regenerative medicine), musculoskeletal ultrasound, return-to-activity protocols, biomechanics of injury and recovery, and comprehensive athlete care.
