The new cohort of Adult Spinal Surgery Fellows started their first week by placing 100 pedicle screws in a lab before they entered the operating room. Led by Brett Rocos, MD, associate professor of orthopaedic surgery, the fellows were excited to engage in their first lab experience.
Rocos shared, "Guiding the fellows through this technique on their first day at Duke Ortho, was exciting. They are already prepped for one of the many experiences they will engage with our spine faculty in the OR this year."
