Eujin is a first-year undergraduate student from Dallas, Texas. She is a pre-med student who intends to major in Neuroscience and minor in Global Health. Before college, she had a particular interest in community service and working with others, which led to her desire to pursue medicine. Since a young age, she has also been fostering an interest in neuroscience, guiding her to join the Faw Lab as her first experience in research. In particular, she hopes to research novel advancements in neuroplasticity further to combat the deterioration of cognitive and motor function among individuals who suffer from neurological injuries or disorders.
With this, Eujin is incredibly excited to be a part of the Faw Lab as she hopes to hone her interests, acquire vital skills and traits, and learn from her mentors, allowing her to grow as a proactive researcher. Eujin plays the flute outside the lab in the Duke University Wind Symphony and volunteers with organizations such as Remote Area Medical and FEMMES+.
