  • Education about the rehabilitation process following amputation surgery, including options for prosthetic candidates and those who do not wish to use a prosthetic device.
  • Education regarding resources for amputees, including rehabilitation providers and support groups.
  • Recommendations for post-operative care include residual limb care, exercise, mobility, and prosthetic fitting.
  • Prescriptions for prosthetic devices—including prosthetic socket design, suspension systems, and componentry, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabrication of new prosthetic devices and adjustments to existing devices, as well as information on new prosthetic technology.
