Duke Orthopaedics proudly celebrates over a decade of partnership with Special Olympics Wake County. This enduring collaboration highlights Duke Ortho’s commitment to providing medical assistance to athletes, families, and friends during the much-anticipated Spring Games—a one-day event held on Wednesday, March 26.
The success of the Spring Games relies on the incredible support of the local community and the dedication of volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure a memorable experience for all participants. Duke Orthopaedics has cherished the opportunity to contribute to this event, fostering joy and connection with local athletes. Special Olympics Wake County, one of the largest and most active programs in North Carolina, continues to thrive thanks to these collective efforts.
This year, Duke Ortho team members, including Ashley Grimsley, PAC, and Sarah Curry, PAC, joined their colleagues from Duke Ortho Arringdon as medical volunteers for the athletes. “PAs have provided medical care to Special Olympics athletes for many years. Our favorite event is the Wake County Spring Games,” shared Ashley Grimsley.
With a shared vision of inclusivity and support, Duke Orthopaedics looks forward to continuing this meaningful partnership for many years, serving as a cornerstone in the lives of local athletes and their families.
