We’re proud to share that Erik Carvalho, a long‑standing leader within Duke Orthopaedics, was recently featured by the Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP) for his promotion to Ambulatory Operations Director (AOD), Orthopaedics.
Erik has contributed more than 15 years of leadership across clinical operations, education, and innovation—most recently guiding one of our highest‑volume practices at Orthopaedics Arringdon and driving improvements in staffing, patient experience, team engagement, and operational efficiency.
His forward‑thinking leadership, including collaborations on AI-enabled tools and support for clinical research and training programs, continues to strengthen the future of orthopaedic care at Duke.
