
We express our gratitude and appreciation as we announce the retirement of John McCall, who has served as the Vice Chief of Administration and Operations in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke School of Medicine. After nearly two decades of service, John will retire on December 31, 2025, leaving a legacy of leadership, innovation, and commitment to our department’s and institution's success. His leadership has been key in initiatives like developing the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program, expanding the Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and improving facilities such as 311 Trent Drive and the Erwin Square CAMP space. Through his efforts, John has made lasting contributions that will continue to influence the future of our department and the broader Duke community.
As he prepares for this new chapter, John is focused on facilitating a smooth transition and supporting the team. His leadership will establish a strong foundation for the department's continued success.
