What were you looking for in a residency program?
I really wanted a program where I would be valued as a person, a program that valued diversity, and where the residents interacted with one another as a family. Imagine my excitement when I recognized Duke had all of those things and more!
What are your research and clinical interests at this time?
As of now, I am interested in outcomes and medical education research. However, I am very open to exploring other clinical interests and basic science research in orthopaedics.
Where did you choose to live and why?
We chose to live in Chapel Hill because it is near the hospital and where my husband will work.
What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being a foodie exploring local cuisines, and being active.
