About the Duke program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
For me, the most important qualities of a training program were an emphasis on resident education and an atmosphere of camaraderie within the department. Duke Orthopedics has a very close group of exceptional residents and faculty along with a tradition of clinical, operative and research excellence.

What are your research and clinical interests at this time?
My current research and clinical interests involve treatment of bone and soft-tissue sarcomas as well as the treatment of prosthetic infections after adult joint reconstruction.

About Duke University and Durham

Where did you choose to live, and why?
My wife Dana and I live near the hospital for quick travel between work and downtown.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
Getting outside and active around Durham, from the weekly downtown run club to playing tennis with my wife who is also a resident at Duke. We enjoy taking trips out of town for sailing or snowboarding as well as staying home for game nights with friends and supporting Duke's sports teams.
