About the Duke program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a place I felt at home, a place where I had a comfort level with the residents that I met, and felt like I could build a relationship outside of Orthopaedics.

What are your research and clinical interests at this time?
I am interested in Health Care disparity research, I am interested in exploring biomechanics research and how it potentially affects injuries in adolescent athletes.  Clinically, I am interested in trauma surgery and learning more about subspecialties I have not had the exposure to such as oncology.

I live in Southern Durham. I chose that area because of the personal connections I have to those who live there.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I enjoy coaching High School Track and Field, working out, playing cards, watching movies, enjoying time with family, and cooking or grilling.
