Georgia State University

Where did you attend medical school?
University of Kentucky College of Medicine

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I wanted to be a part of a program that would train me to become a highly-skilled, competent, and compassionate orthopaedic surgeon. As a former Division-I softball player, I valued a sense of comradery and teamwork most when looking for a residency program, all of which were palpable at Duke. Duke's orthopaedic program excels with high operative volume, a strong history of excellent fellowship matches, and ample opportunities for research, leadership, and volunteer activities. Lastly, Duke Orthopaedics values and celebrates diversity and inclusion which is greatly important to me.

What are your research and clinical interests at this time?
My current interests are broad as I am open-minded to all orthopaedic subspecialities. I do, however, have a love for pediatric patients and enjoy sports as a subspecialty given my involvement in competitive athletics.

Where did you choose to live and why?
I chose to live in a house with a fenced-in backyard since I spoil my goldendoodle, Bentley.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I always enjoy spending time with friends and family, ideally while eating sushi or Italian food and enjoying a glass of cabernet. From repelling down 150-foot canyons in Zion National Park to intramural flag football and pickleball, you will often find me outdoors or playing competitive sports. I am also a sucker for binge-watching reality TV with Bentley!
