The Nature Medicine article explores findings from a large clinical trial that studied cell-based versus corticosteroid injections for knee pain in osteoarthritis: a randomized phase 3 trial. The study was a phase 2/3, four-arm parallel, multicenter, single-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial involving 480 patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis.
Dr. Boggess is a sports medicine specialist whose clinical and research interests are musculoskeletal ultrasound, regenerative medicine, and non-operative orthopedics.
