Congratulations to Cesar de Cesar Netto, MD, PhD, who received a 2023 Arthritis Foundation (AF) / American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Think Tank Grant to support innovations in clinical research that advance knowledge toward treatments to stop or slow osteoarthritis (OA). His study aims to Determine the Traumatic Origins of Ankle OA and the Time to Joint Degeneration.
Osteoarthritis affects more than 30 million Americans and is the most common form of arthritis. AF and AOFAS awarded three grants, each totaling almost $200,000 over two years, to AOFAS members dedicated to finding solutions for chronic ankle osteoarthritis.
