Duke DPT/OTD Faculty Serve as Panelists at Black Women in STEM Event at NCCU

Tiffany N. Adams, PT, DPT, MBA, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery, and Tomeico Faison, OTD, OTR/L, Minority Recruitment and Retention and Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery, participated in a panel on Black Women in STEM at NCCU in February.

It was hosted by the student organization SAAME (Science African American Majors Evolving).
 
They discussed pathways to the PT and OT professions in addition to sharing the successes that they have had as Black women in these fields. They also discussed traditional and innovative career opportunities within the PT and OT professions and the significance of mentorship leading them to success within these professions.
