Q: What brings you joy?
A: I have three adorable and lively Australian Shepherds named Suki, Lincoln, and Abigail (pictured). I was married on August 8, 2022, to my lovely wife Alexis. She and I enjoy visiting friends in Durham/Pittsboro, Raleigh, and Wilmington.

Q: Why did you choose this field?
A: I somewhat fell into research after working as a bedside Respiratory Therapist in the Cardiothoracic ICU (7W). An anesthesia study that our team supported hired me as a coordinator, and I never looked back. I enjoy the different patient interactions we experience from the research side. Plus, I find a lot of motivation in taking complicated goals, tasks, and studies with little to no direction and building processes and a sturdy structure that supports those needs.

Q: What excites you about this role at Duke?
A: As a clinical research coordinator, I’m excited to meet the new team, make new friends, expand my experience working with pediatric patients, and dive into the orthopaedic world.
