Welcome, Megan Goldsby!

Please join me in welcoming Megan Goldsby to our team as the new administrative assistant in the chair’s suite. Megan started last week and will be supporting Ben Alman and Dara Purvis as Kim Egler is retiring in mid-September.

Megan is originally from Northern Virginia and came to North Carolina in 2103 when she began her undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Biology, Exercise Sports Science, and Music. Megan worked for UNC after graduation, first for the Morehead Planetarium as a Science Educator and Development Officer, then with the Undergraduate Academic Advising Office, and most recently at the Medical School as the Administrative Director of the Point of Care Ultrasound Program.

Megan says “While I have been a Tarheel for a long time, my dad (a proud Duke graduate) would argue that I have been a Blue Devil since birth. I spend my free time reading thought-provoking books, playing disc golf with my partner, Charlie, and hiking with my best four-legged friend, Whiskey. I am really looking forward to this new chapter at Duke and can’t wait to meet you all!”

Megan’s experience is broad and her background as an educator and an administrator will be an asset to her position. Megan brings wonderful energy and enthusiasm and we are excited to work with her and for our team to get to know her.
