Albert Anastasio, MD, Selected for 2024 AOFAS Clinician Scholar Career Development Program

Congratulations to Albert T. Anastasio, MD, on being selected to participate in the prestigious 2024 American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Clinician Scholar Career Development Program (CSCDP).

In collaboration with researchers at Duke University Hospital, he was awarded the prestigious Roger Mann Award at the AOFAS Annual Meeting 2023 for his work in total ankle arthroplasty. He has authored more than 170 publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 150 oral or poster presentations at national and international conferences. 

The CSCDP is a comprehensive training workshop to encourage and educate future orthopaedic clinician-scientists and investigators. Session topics include Beginning Your Career as a Clinician-Scientist, Building Blocks for a Successful Clinician-Scientist Career, Work-Life Balance, and Resources and Opportunities for Research Funding. 

The annual program is open to residents in PGY-2 to PGY-5, fellows, and junior faculty through year three who have the potential and desire to become orthopaedic clinician-scientists.
