The Duke Orthopaedic Surgery Department, Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) IDEA Grant recently hosted the Collaborative Summit on Health Equity and Value-Based Care on June 21.
This event brought together thought leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and researchers to address health equity in orthopaedic surgery through policy and practice.
Duke Orthopaedic faculty members Christian Pean, MD, and Erica Taylor, MD, MBA, co-chaired the summit.
Dr. Pean shared, "Health equity is critical to succeeding in population healthcare."
