Duke Orthopaedics proudly congratulates our faculty for their leadership and recognition at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Annual Meeting 2025, held September 10–13 in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Samuel Adams, associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, served as Program Co-Chair, and Dr. Jonathan Kaplan, associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, co-chaired the Pre-Meeting, helping shape a dynamic and impactful event
We also celebrate our award recipients:
- Dr. J. Leonard Goldner was honored as a 2025 Legacy Pillar of the AOFAS, honoring iconic surgeons who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to sustained excellence in leadership, education, and philanthropy.
- Dr. Cesar de Cesar Netto, associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, along with colleagues Rebekah Belayneh, MD; Scott Ellis, MD; Donald Anderson, PhD; Nacime Salomao Barbachan Mansur, MD, PhD; Grayson Talaski, BSE; and Francois Lintz, MD, PhD, received the prestigious Roger A. Mann Award for their outstanding clinical study presentation: “Enhancing the Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity (PCFD) Classification System through the Establishment of Defined Radiopathic Cut-Off Threshold Values for the Different Deformity Classes.”
These achievements reflect Duke’s continued excellence in orthopaedic research, education, and leadership on the national stage.
