As part of Duke’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, Dr. Christian Pean, executive director for AI and Information Technology Innovation, and assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, participated in a panel discussion exploring innovation, advocacy, and the future of health care.
Dr. Pean shared reflections on his family’s legacy of community care and discussed Duke’s efforts to improve outcomes for patients with hip fractures. He also offered thoughtful perspectives on how emerging technologies, such as AI, can help address challenges in access and communication. His contributions added depth and insight to the conversation. We’re grateful for Dr. Pean’s engagement and proud to highlight his role in this meaningful event.
