July is Sarcoma Awareness Month! Below are three ways to spread the word about vital sarcoma research at Duke. Together, we can find new treatment options.
Fast Facts: The Duke Sarcoma Center is part of the Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration, a group of leading U.S. sarcoma centers. Brian Brigman, MD, PhD, professor of orthopaedic surgery, spearheads the center's mission: personalized sarcoma treatment grounded in research and commitment to training the next generation of sarcoma clinicians and scientists. The team includes 25 specialists (see below) who see more than 900 new patients per year and actively care for more than 2,000. "Sarcomas may be rare cancers, but they're not rare for us," said Brigman.
