Recognizing National Rehabilitation Awareness Week

This National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, we recognize and honor the vital role rehabilitation professionals play in helping patients recover, rebuild, and return to the activities they love.

Whether it’s regaining mobility after surgery, recovering from injury, or managing chronic conditions, rehabilitation is a cornerstone of the comprehensive care we provide in our department. Our dedicated physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, support teams, and other specialists are essential partners in restoring not only function but also confidence and hope in our patients' lives.

National Rehabilitation Awareness Week is an opportunity to:

1) Raise awareness about the critical role of rehabilitation in restoring health, independence, and quality of life.
2) Honor the dedication and expertise of rehabilitation professionals who guide patients through their recovery journeys.
3) Celebrate the successes of individuals who have overcome physical and cognitive challenges through rehabilitation.
4) Promote recovery by encouraging those who could benefit from rehab services to seek the care they need.

Please join me in thanking our rehabilitation colleagues and partners. Your expertise, compassion, and unwavering commitment are foundational to the care we provide. Your contributions to education and research help train the next generation of professionals and advance the field to improve outcomes. Your work transforms lives every day, and we are grateful to stand alongside you in this important mission. Take a moment to celebrate National Rehabilitation Awareness Week—and recognize all those who provide, teach, and advance the field of rehabilitation care.

All the best,
Ben
