As the Scoliosis Research Society nears 60 years of success as one of the premier spine societies, it launches the next generation of leaders with a comprehensive program for members focusing on Leadership, Education, and Development (L.E.A.D.).
The L.E.A.D. The SRS cohort was selected from an impressive group of members who contributed significantly to the Society. We congratulate Duke Orthopaedics faculty members Peter Passias, MD, and Khoi Than, MD, for earning a placement within this elite experience.
Over the next year, the program aims to support goals to become better leaders and better understand how to enhance and nurture leadership and communication skills. The curriculum combined virtual and live sessions, covering topics critical to leadership, including coaching, leading a research team, communication within teams, owning your leadership, and developing a personal brand. This is set against understanding leadership within the Scoliosis Research Society.
