Welcome to the Team: Arianna George, MHS, PA-C

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is pleased to welcome Arianna George, MHS, PA‑C, who recently joined the advanced practice provider (APP) Orthopaedic team at Duke University Hospital.

A Raleigh native, Arianna brings a strong academic and clinical foundation to her new role. She completed her undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University, earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Biology and Molecular Biochemistry. Before beginning graduate training, she gained hands-on experience as a medical assistant and surgical technician at a Mohs surgery center and contributed to stem cell therapy research focused on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, with additional work on COPD and COVID-19 disease models.

Arianna went on to earn her Master of Health Science through the Duke Physician Assistant Program, graduating in August 2024.

Since becoming a PA, she has practiced in orthopaedic surgery at UNC Cary Orthopaedics, where she developed a strong background in outpatient care and surgery with an emphasis on lower-extremity joint replacement. Her clinical work spanned the operative teams at Rex Holly Springs Hospital and UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, giving her valuable experience across diverse surgical settings.

Outside of work, Arianna enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two rescue standard poodles. She is an avid hiker and strength-training enthusiast, and recently added hot yoga to her fitness routine. On quieter days, she enjoys reading, crocheting blankets and hats, and exploring her creative side through drawing and painting.

Please join us in welcoming Arianna to Duke Orthopaedics. We are thrilled to have her on the team and look forward to the expertise, enthusiasm, and compassionate care she brings to our patients and colleagues.
