Dr Scott studies hip arthroscopy outcomes and the way psychological and social concerns impact the ability to recover successfully from surgery. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She also partners with other institutions to study the way different hip diseases and conditions change the forces that go through the hip joint, and how these forces lead to cartilage damage and arthritis over time. Dr.Scott treats patients and performs research at the Urbaniak Sports Science Institute and the Duke Ambulatory Surgery Center.
