Dr. Bytomski is a sports medicine specialist whose clinical interests include non-operative musculoskeletal medicine as well as medical issues in athletes, including sports concussions and post-concussion syndrome. Dr. Bytomski sees patients in the Duke Sports Science Institute and Murray Training Room. A majority of Dr. Bytomski's current research projects are focused on concussions. Investigating Vestibular Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS) and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) in relation to concussions are two of the active projects that Dr. Bytomski is excited about. Additionally, Dr. Bytomski is working on new forms of bringing electrolytes and oxygen to athletes.
