What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program with a tight-knit group of residents that I clicked with, a strong operative experience, and extensive resources for clinical research.
What are your research and clinical interests at this time?
I am interested in hand and upper extremity and sports, though I am keeping an open mind as I begin my residency training.
About Duke University and Durham
Where did you choose to live, and why?
I appreciate the convenience and lower cost of living in Durham. I was able to purchase a home with my wife, and we love the atmosphere here - there are so many good restaurants, bars, and breweries, and they are all very family-friendly.
What do you like to do outside of medicine?
Boxing, muay Thai, traveling, eating (especially Vietnamese, Korean, or Thai food), spending time with my wife.
