Please join me in congratulating our colleague Steven Z. George, PT, PhD, FAPTA, on his appointment as editor-in-chief of the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) flagship publication, the Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal (PTJ).
This is a significant role for Steve, where he will be responsible for overseeing and determining the editorial direction of the journal and, by doing this, help guide the direction of the field. He begins this role on Jan. 1, 2024.
Dr. George is our vice chair of research, the lead for our Duke Clinical Research Institute’s Musculoskeletal and Surgical Sciences therapeutic area, and the holder of the Laszlo Ormandy Distinguished Professorship.
I know Steve will do a stellar job in this new role and guide APTA in disseminating the evidence necessary to improve the health of society.
