Duke Sports Performance (DSP) provided medical coverage for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship game and team practices this week at the Durham County Memorial Stadium. The championship game featured Keiser University and Northwestern College.
Keiser used a dominating run game to claim its first NAIA Football Championship Series title, ending a 27-game win streak by Northwestern (Iowa).
Established in 1940, the NAIA is the organization that governs and promotes small college athletics in the United States.
"The DSP team enjoyed working with the skilled athletes participating in the championship," stated Harry Stafford, Jr., MD, CSCS, MBA, Director, Duke Sports Science Institute; Director, Sports Performance.
