I am thrilled to announce the Duke Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program received notice this week that it has received full accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
The first Duke OTD cohort graduates in May and will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Achieving the full ACOTE accreditation shows the concise and innovative team efforts led by Barbara Hooper, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOT, division chief, and founding program director of the Duke OTD program. She and her outstanding team worked diligently to create an exceptional program that will educate generations of OTD practitioners.
Congratulations!
