The Flu Vaccination Campaign launches today (Sept. 19). You can receive free flu vaccinations without an appointment at all three Employee Occupational Health & Wellness clinics or pop-up vaccination clinics hosted at high-traffic sites across the University and Health System. Check out the full list of locations and pop-up clinic dates. This is required for all School of Medicine faculty, staff, students, and volunteers.
Your annual vaccination against influenza is not just for your protection but also the safety of our patients, their families, and our entire community. The School of Medicine (SOM) and the Duke University Health System (including Duke Health Integrated Practice) have written policies stating the requirements for this crucial annual vaccination.
Medical or Religious Exemption applications should be submitted before Tuesday, October 18. Please note: Due to the availability of an egg-free formulation of the flu vaccine, egg allergy is not a reason for a medical exemption.
Policy compliance through vaccination or granted medical or religious exemption is required by Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.
Individuals working remotely can be vaccinated at any employee/health care worker flu vaccination location, through their primary care provider, or at a local pharmacy. IMPORTANT: If you are vaccinated by your Duke or another primary care provider or at a local pharmacy, you must submit evidence of vaccination by logging into the Duke VaxTrax system: https://duke.is/vxsfu
