After a patient fell earlier in the year, the Duke Orthopaedics of Raleigh team worked to ensure that a clinical staff member carefully watched and walked all fall patients or assisted device patients.
During a recent patient visit, Duke Orthopaedics of Raleigh colleagues Sonya Edwards, CMA, and LaKendra Griffis, CMA, caught the patient as they were having difficulty using an assisted device. Both individuals worked together to ensure the patient did not hit the ground and was adequately cared for. The patient was appreciative that they did not hit the floor.
“This was literally a great catch,” exclaimed Cynthia Hedden, BBA, RMA, Health Center Administrator, Duke Orthopaedics of Raleigh
Great job, Sonya and LaKendra!
