2023-2024 Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellows Announced

We’re excited that we’ve matched our new Primary Care Sports Medicine fellows for next year. It was another competitive year, and we look forward to having our three primary care fellows when they start this July.

Congratulations to Oke A. Anakwenze, MD on being named as a member of the of the ASES Neer Circle. The mission of the ASES Neer Circle is to recognize service and leadership, strategically support the Society, and advance the practice of shoulder and elbow surgery through consensus. 

Emily D’Agostino awarded an NIH U01 $1.1M Grant

Duke OTD faculty member Emily D’Agostino was awarded an NIH U01 grant for 1.1M. The project, You & Me Healthy Toolkit, will evaluate a community engagement toolkit for a rapid-deployment test-and-treat protocol implemented through two communities in Merced County, CA and Pitt County, NC. The systematic and scalable community-engaged test-and-treat protocol provides rapid access to self-testing, “next steps” guidance, and local resources to facilitate treatment in underserved populations.
