Celebrating Heather Kelly, RN, BSN–Arringdon Ortho, on the Completion of the Ironman World Championship

Congratulations to Nurse Manager Heather Kelly, RN, BSN, for completing the Ironman World Championships race in Kona, HI, on Oct. 14.

Kelly, who works at the Duke Orthopaedics Arringdon Clinic, qualified for Kona at the Ironman Mont-Tremblant in Quebec, Canada, just seven weeks earlier. The Kona event was the inaugural all-women’s world championship and involved 2,500 women.

BIPOC Women's Athletic Performance Summit a Success!

This week, over 100 participants attended the BIPOC Women's Athletic Summit at NC Central University. The event tackled critical topics affecting the female athlete, including anxiety, depression, nutrition, body composition, breast health, hormones and ligaments, and other injuries.

Duke Orthopaedics and UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff were featured speakers at the event.
