Celebrating Sterile Processing Week

Sterile Processing Week (formerly International Central Service Week) recognizes the committed specialists who fill Sterile Processing departments and make a positive difference in patient care. This week of celebration is held annually on the second Sunday in October.

Because Sterile Processing (SP) professionals are responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing medical and surgical instrumentation, they are among the most vital contributors to safe, high-quality patient care.
